During this Talk, climate experts Rob Verchick and Karen Liftin will approach the topic from a policy and governance point of view and from the view of citizens taking action. They’ll also address questions at the heart of this endeavor such as: How do we reach across party lines and get people to care more? How do we design systems and technologies that are flexible enough to handle surprises? How do we involve and address the needs of disadvantaged communities—the so-called “climate underclass”—which already bear the brunt of environmental harm? When do we resist? When do we adjust? When do we retreat? And who gets to decide?
