Portland Taiko

“Taiko,” a traditional Japanese drumming style, is rooted in ancient warfare, court music, and religious pageantry. Portland Taiko, formed by Japanese American activists, infuses the old and new traditions of Taiko drumming with the spirit and passion of the Asian American identity and experience.
