The Echéa Quartet is formed of players from Canada, the US and the UK, in their final year of postgraduate study at the Royal Academy of Music. They are currently finalists in the Anton Rubinstein International Chamber Music Competition in Düsseldorf, Germany. They were recently selected for the prestigious Frost Trust/Advanced Specialist Strings Ensemble Training Scheme at the Royal Academy of Music, under which they will continue their studies under John Myerscough (Doric String Quartet). The quartet has also received tutelage from Garfield Jackson, Levon Chilingirian, Jon Thorne (of the Endellion and Chilingirian Quartets, and of the Oculi Ensemble respectively). The quartet have also recently been selected as 2019 Concordia Foundation Artists.
