Christine Tassan et les Imposteures: arrangement and playing in the context of a gypsy jazz band. This is a band workshop, given by the group Christine Tassan et les Imposteures, and it will focus on playing in/with a band. This workshop is open to all melodic and rhythmic instruments (guitar, violin, clarinet, mandolin, bass etc...), including singers.

You will learn how to play in the “real” context of a band: how to arrange a song with introduction, conclusion and variations on the main melody; how to vary the dynamics, how to create “surprises” for the listener; how to communicate between musicians, how to exchange solos, use trades and breaks. Christine Tassan et les Imposteures will propose you some arrangements on standard songs (such as All of Me, Les Yeux Noirs, Minor Swing, etc...) that all students will play together, guided and supported by the four musicians of the band.

The workshop will also be a great occasion to discover the life of the band and of his musicians.

Recommended for all levels. Open to listeners as well as participants.
